Campbell’s Condensed Soup returns – in an original Warhol-style tin

Camp

Good news for food and art lovers – Campbell's Condensed Soup is back on the shelves.

Well, we say food lovers. Not everyone loves the stuff. But there's an added reason why we're getting excited over the return. The cans of soup are back in Tesco from this week, in a choice of Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Tomato, Cream of Chicken and Cream of Celery, plus a Low Fat Chicken and Low Fat Mushroom, with one in particular peaking our interest.

As you can see from the image above, the mushroom is the one to grab. It comes in the original 1960s-style tin, meaning it doubles up as a piece of Warhol-style art for your kitchen. In fact, at just 50p a tin, you can grab a pile of them for displaying, especially as they have a two-year plus sell-by date. But be warned – shelves of the vintage tin are already emptying fast.

Andy Warhol for Incase

Warhol-snap-cases
Everyone's favourite Pop artist is now available to add a touch of style to your favourite technology, thanks to the Andy Warhol for Incase range.

It's a range of cases, sleeves and bags for the iPhone, iPad and Mac Book featuring Warhol's artwork. The first few items of the range are based around the banana image produced for the Velvet Underground and Nico album in 1966 and his take on camouflage, with more designs to follow. The range has been authorized by the Andy Warhol Foundation who argue Warhol's fascination with technology means, if alive today, he would have been an avid fan and devourer of these products.

With some products available now and some ready for pre-order, prices start at $49.95 for a snapcase for the iPhone 4.

Chelsea Girls print by Siggi Eggertsson

Chelsea1

The original poster was a piece of iconic 60s design but Chelsea Girls gets a new look courtesy of this print by Siggi Eggertsson.

Andy Warhol's 1966 film is often remembered more for its poster by Alan Aldridge than for the film itself, which followed some of the residents in New York's Chelsea Hotel. That cast included Nico and the film then inspired her debut album the following year. Probably because of that, Nico is the star of this poster, depicted in a bright and colourful manner that reflects the Pop art associated with Warhol. Add to that some other nice details too – such as the cast list worked into the main design – and you've got a nice piece of original art work for your walls.

The giclee print is available in two sizes at two prices: either A2 for £85 or 60cm x 84cm for £145.
