New 80s-inspired Commodore 64 PC gets detailed – called C64x

C64_1

We first saw this back in August, with the reissued Commodore 64 mixing authentic 80s-style looks with a modern specification. Well, it's now got a new name, the C64x, as well as some official photos and a confirmed set of features, including the option to revert to an '80s machine.

According to Wired, the new version has a dual-core Atom processor, 2GB memory, NVIDIA Ion2 graphics and a Blu-ray drive. There's also lots of USB and memory card slots, along with HDMI, VGA and DVI-D ports. But there's also some added authenticity.

Adidas Stan Smith 80s trainers get a new reissue

Smith

It is generally believed to the bestselling Adidas trainer in the company's long history, shifting around 30 million pairs since its introduction in 1971 (in various incarnations). This Adidas Stan Smith 80s reissue should bump that figure up a bit more.

This is the 1980s take on a classic, complete with thinner tongues and a less chunky silhouette. But aside from that, pretty much what you expect, with a white and green colour scheme, premium leather upper, perforated three stripes and off-white sole unit.

Pre-orders now being taken, £65 is the price.

Lunch Man – vintage Walkman-shaped lunch box

Lunchman

I think, in this case, the image of the Lunch Man says it all.

Yes, it's a lunch box, shaped like a 1980s Walkman, so you get to keep your sandwiches in one piece whilst looking cool in an gadget geek kinda way.

It's made of plastic, it's sized at 18 x 14 x 5.5cm and the Lunch Man is available online for just £6.

Adidas Beckenbauer trainers back in black and orange

Becken

We have seen reissues in the fairly recent past, but there's something reassuringly classic about the latest take on the Adidas Beckenbauer trainers.

Originally an all-round football and training shoe from 1982, this no-nonsense shoe is back in a classic colourway of black and orange, offering up a plush perforated leather upper, high impact training outsole and some gold branding on the side.

You can pre-order now, priced at £59.

Adidas Kegler Super trainers return in two colour options

Kegler1

One of more distinctive Adidas reissues, the Adidas Kegler Super trainers have been reissued with a twist in a numbered edition by Hanon, but we much prefer these cleaner reissues of the early 80s classic.

Lovers of chunky kicks need only apply, as well as lovers of the distinctive 'peg' system on the sole. Two issues are available, both in white leather with a suede toe bumper covering the midsole and outside, but there's a choice of detailing between orange and yellow – one pictured above, the other over the page. Kegler branding is of course printed onto the side.
