A design that could only have come out of the 1970s – this Pfaffle alarm clock lamp, which is up for grabs on eBay for not a lot of cash.
According to the seller, the lamp was designed by Knox for Pfaffle, a mix of chocolate brown plastic for the structure and brushed aluminium for the lamp section. Not just a lamp though – this is an alarm clock too.

The original 172 light (pictured left) was designed by Poul Christiansen back in 1971 and available in various sizes to fit the size of your room.
