Animal handprinted A6 notebooks by Nell Smith at Etsy

Hoot

Etsy is always a good source of things unique and indeed, with a retro twist – like these Animal handprinted A6 notebooks by Nell Smith.

'Hoot Owl' is above, but you can also opt for 'Hello Lion' or 'Miaow Cat', all with those retro-styled graphics and font, complete with smooth brown cardboard cover, grey spine and 30 white lined pages. A6, if you're wondering, is around 4 x 6 inches.

Available online, they sell for $7, which is just over £4.50. Alternatively, the designer has a studio on the first floor of the Manchester Craft and Design Centre.

Size? to release limited edition Adidas Manchester trainers and track top

Adidas_manchester1

Remember the reissued Adidas London track top from last week? Well, there's an even more exclusive release from further up north – the limited edition Adidas Manchester trainers and track top.

It's part of the Size? 10th anniversary celebrations (so only available there) and certain to be in very short supply, with just 500 of each item being made, each numbered for added exclusivity. See the numbering details over the page – it's a bit cool.

Not ideal if you're from the red half of Manchester (as the design looks to be predominantly sky blue), but maybe you can console yourself with the red detailing. No price as yet, but expect them offered for sale from April 17th 2010.
