David Weidman at Urban Outfitters

Weidman

A while ago, we showed you some of David Weidman 1970s prints. If you liked the style of those but the price was slightly out of your reach, you'll be interested in knowing his work has been used as part of a small collection for American Urban Outfitters

Weidman is best known for his work in the late 1950s and 60s from which this collection is drawn. It currently includes two pieces of wall art and a cushion, each featuring a distinctively Weidman style artwork. Pictured is the Bird Tree wall art, screen-printed onto canvas. The other designs are avian themed too: a bird is reproduced on the cushion, while the other piece of wall art features a caged owl.

Sadly the items can't be shipped internationally but, if you happen to be in the US, this piece will set you back $48.

Barbican stool from John Lewis

Barbican stool

You've got your Barbican sofa. Complete the look with the accompanying Barbican stool from John Lewis.

It shares the same mid-century influence as the sofa, down to its wooden splayed legs. Although there is a leather version available, pictured is the model with a pea green fabric base. The brightly pattern 1960s-esque cushion comes courtesy of Andrew Martin. Put this next to your sofa and you'll be sitting pretty.

The stool costs £499.

Danish Modern Love Seat at Urban Outfitters

Modern Love

While Urban Outfitters in the UK tends towards kitsch and fun homewares, the American store always seems to stock some more interesting furniture numbers, such as this so-called Danish Modern Love Seat

With a clear nod towards mid-century Scandinavian designs, it's a simple design with an exposed ash frame and a choice of either the yellow pictured or a green for your cushions. And it's certainly not going to go out of fashion as quickly as some of the novelty items on sale in the UK store.

It's available exclusively online and, more annoyingly, only to customers in the USA. If those conditions apply to you, it will cost you $398.

Linea Grace chair

Linea grace armchair

This Linea Grace chair is another mid-century style design courtesy of the High Street.

An elegant piece of design that doesn't immediately give away its age or provenance, it's a classic wingback chair with padded seat, all upholstered in a green fabric. This retro look is completed by the darkly stained conical legs. All-in-all it's a design that states mid-century Scandinavian.

Luckily it's a Summer 2010 sale bargain, as this is currently reduced to £249.

Neutra house numbers

Neutra numbers 2

It's the finishing touches that count. So if you've invested time and energy created the perfect mid-century style interior, you may want to invest in these Neutra house numbers for its exterior.

The Neutra stands for the renowned architect Richard Neutra. These numbers are a collaboration between his estate and Design Within Reach and replicate the 1930s originals that Neutra specified for use on the house he'd designed. They're made from weather and corrosion resistant aluminium so should be looking stylish for a good few more years to come.

Expect to count the cost of these numbers though, as each one costs $40.80.
