Pocket Watch Necklace from ModCloth

Pocketnecklace

While pocket watches are often placed firmly in the 'antique' bracket, rather than retro, the number of vintage inspired versions currently being made continues to grow. For a more practical and feminine version, this Old And New Pocket Watch Necklace from ModCloth is an ideal option for women's wardrobes.

Retaining all the timeless style and refinement of the vintage menswear versions, the watch itself includes an etched filigree cover with a colour scheme of vintage look silver and gold throughout. Never stepping a foot away from classic design, the watch is held by a simple chain to wear around the neck.

It's available from ModCloth now for $27.99.

Fletcher pendant light from Next

Fletcher light

For a more unusual lighting look from the high street, how about this Fletcher pendant light from Next? Like the wire sculpture wire chandelier from Graham and Green we featured a little while back, its use of plastic and wire resembles constructivist works by artists like Naum Gabo from the 1920s onwards.

Although the suspension isn't included, it measures around 35cm diameter and is guaranteed to be a talking point. Another bonus is the price: it costs a very reasonable £50.
