1970s Adidas 1609ER trainers reissued in white or blue

1609_2

A less obvious reissue from Adidas, the Adidas 1609ER trainers, which are back in two colour options.

The running shoe first appeared back in 1979, when it was known as the 'Miler'. A change of name now, but the style is much the same for this lightweight shoe, a mix of suede and nylon for the upper, with a wraparound outsole and contrast detail and lacing. Take our pick between white with blue detailing or a dark blue with white detailing.

Check out the other colour option over the page, both selling for £60 at the Adidas store.

1980s Puma Dallas trainers reissued in leather

Dallas

An old school classic, the Puma Dallas trainers are back with a premium leather finish.

Yes, leather – not the suede upper that's usually associated with the shoe. In fact, it looks more like a tennis shoe in this incarnation.

Details are that leather upper, a gum sole and gold branding. It's a release that's 'highly limited' too, according to the retailer. £69 is the asking price.

Reissued 1960s Adidas Achill trainers now available to buy

Achill1

We did preview these over on our His Knibs site a while back, but now the Adidas Achill trainers are available to buy.

A limited edition release of a lesser-known Adidas shoe, originally a running shoe and dating back to the late '60s, it's something of a forerunner to the better-known SL 72. In this case, you get the original shape, with a suede and mesh upper, D-ring lacing and cutaway sole, with a colour option of white or black. The other style pictured over the page.

If you want a pair, £65 secures a pair.

Munch

Hot on the heels of the Nike Elite Vintage trainers comes another Size? exclusive reissue, the Adidas Munchen trainers, which are already flying off the (virtual) shelves.

This time the 1976 indoor training shoe is reissued with a red suede and nylon mesh upper, with white leather stripes, white mid sole and white laces. If you love red and white, it's perfect. Of not, then…maybe not.

But if you do love them, £60 is the asking price.

Nike Elite Vintage trainers reissued as a Size? exclusive

Nike1

A 1970s running shoe is back on the market in two colourways as a Size? exclusive – the Nike Elite Vintage trainers.

It was 1976 when the shoe first appeared and is back now with looks very reminiscent of the era. The upper is a mix of suede and nylon, with contrasting detailing and 'swoosh', vintage mid sole, waffle out sole and fan tongue.

£55 gets you a pair in either shade – see the other over the page.

Also, if you are a Nike fan, check out the Nike Vintage '70 – '80 book, which you can buy here. It's a Japanese imported book that covers pretty much everything in the company's range between those years. It sells in the UK for £29.50.
