Huge markdowns in the EC Star sale

Ec star sale

We've mentioned EC Star a few times on Retro To Go for their excellent mod influenced style. They tend to be on the more affordable end of retro reproductions, but if you haven't been able to stretch your budget before, their sale prices are well worth a look.

Featuring many of their best designs, the sale has considerable markdowns and tons of style. From the edgier side of mod-influenced clothing, to pieces that can easily pass as genuine sixties, there's an impressive choice. Don't expect the best of these to stick around for long!

Confetti dress by Anna Sui

Anna sui confetti

Brand new clothing lines for Spring/Summer 2009 are hitting the shelves, and it's time to see what era the designers are taking their cues from this season. At Anna Sui, it seems seventies folk style is on the menu, and in the case of this Confetti dress it's no bad thing.

Taking a dreamier slant on the seventies hippy look, this dress is very floaty and girlish. Thankfully, the brown base of the colour scheme stops it from being something for the kids, while the embroidery details add something of the vintage look.

New in at Net-a-Porter, the dress will set you back £401.28.

Tullette suit separates from Fred Flare

Tullette

Finding a retro styled suit that doesn't veer into the very formal can be quite a challenge, as the Quant-esque girlish options have all but died out in reproductions and the high street. Thanks to designers Tullette, though, you can snap up a very cute number at Fred Flare.

This Coco skirt and Country Club jacket are sold separately, but team up to make a wonderfully retro and whimsical ensemble. Made from a structured poly blend fabric, you're assured a fairly weighty texture that will wear the structured shape of both pieces well.

The skirt costs $36, while the jacket is on at $48.
