It might look like a fairly classic (and unassuming) update of a 14th century building from the outside, but once inside, you can lose yourself in the space age world of the 1960s-inspired Hotel Sax vintage design hotel in Prague.

Not just the lobby, every room in the hotel has an original appearance that uses predominantly 60s design, with a bit of 50s and 70s also thrown in for good measure. Or if you really want to go upmarket, check into the design suite, which offers both a bedroom and living room overlooking the old town, plenty of space for up to four people and of course, as much vintage design as your eyes can take in.

If you think you might miss your home comforts, don't worry, all rooms also feature air conditioning, an LCD television, telephone, mini bar, DVD player and a web-enabled laptop.

Prices vary depending on your choice of room and time of year, but start from 120 Euros per night. Also, check out the packages, which offer two nights with plenty of added extras and a lift from the airport in a Mercedes car for not much more than the standard rates.

  1. Hi
Does anyone know what the lights are in the top picture? i’m really liking the red / yellow (orange?) pendant lights, and know they would look lovely in my hall – can I get them anywhere though?
    Cheers

  2. I want to know why your going to have two pictures, on this page whats the point of showing us the pics, and i wanted to know who started the 1960’s fashion. But on your unhelpful websites you don’t give me any information on how the 1960’s fashion began and on how the 1960’s fshion ended.
