Disney Villains by Barbara Hulanicki Wallpaper
Biba-founder Barbara Hulanicki's latest wallpaper collection takes its inspiration from an unexpected source - Disney Villains. Or more specifically the evil fairy from Sleeping Beauty.
The mini-collection consists of two designs, both shown in the picture above. The Maleficent design (the evil fairy's name) features a repeat pattern of the "mistress of all evil" in a damask style that has become Hulanicki's signature, whilst the Diablo design is based on her pet raven of the same name. As an idea it is rather odd, but I think it works well in the flock style wallpaper and is an interesting twist on traditional damask patterns.
The wallpaper is available to buy for £65 per roll from Wallpaper Direct.
