Gizmon iCA - turn your iPhone into a vintage rangefinder camera

As mobile phone add-ons go, the Gizmon iCA is about the best there is. That's because it turns your modern Apple iPhone into a vintage rangefinder camera. No apps required.

Yes, this is a cladding for your phone, so the back turns into a vintage camera, complete with leather strap and case. But there's more to it than that. The camera system also offers lenses for special effects - fisheye and macro lenses are available at launch, but with many more to follow soon.

As we said, no apps required, the lenses create the effects, just like an old school camera. Just click the shutter button to take the shot, with the image captured on your phone (no processing required either, you'll be pleased to know).

That's the good news. The bad news is that this is only being marketed in Japan initially, with the rest of the world to follow in a few months time. However, you can order from Japan and some places in the US stock it. The price is a reasonable $65 in those places. Europe is just down as 'coming soon' It can't come soon enough for us.

See the camera on action in the video below.
