eBay watch: 1970s Lotus Eclat 521 car

Looking for a project for these long summer nights? We might have just the thing with this 1970s Lotus Eclat 521 car.

We probably didn't need to tell you the decade, the paint job probably had that covered. This two-litre Eclat dates back to 1976 and is described as a  car 'for restoration', having been stored away since the early 1990s.

The seller adds that there are boxes of parts as part of the sale, with the engine 'complete' and 'not seized'. The body is in 'good condition', but will need repainting to get it up to scratch.

It's an amazing relic of an era, right down to the pop-up lights and as such, will be a real head-turner when the work is done. If you think you are the man or woman for the job, the price is £400.
