How do you fancy the idea of playing a ZX Spectrum once more? You can soon do that – but the Bluetooth ZX Spectrum throws in a bit of modern functionality too.

Current maker Elite has produced a replica of the original Spectrum keyboard, but this time with Bluetooth connectivity, which works with an iPhone and iPad and in turn to a TV to wirelessly play many classic Spectrum games via the Spectrum app. After the initial launch, it will also be made available for Android and Windows devices too, so owners of those devices can also get a taste of life in a bedroom in the early '80s.

Sadly, you can't get one just yet, but you can register an interest to buy one now for around £39.99. You will also be able to contribute to a Kickstarter project soon, which allows you to get to the front of the queue by committing cash for the production of the keyboard, which should be available next year.

All the details are at the Bluetooth ZX Spectrum website.
