Now this is cool. On the face of it, Beep doesn’t look too exciting. But when you find out what Beep does, you might think differently.

Beep is a new device that lets you cast tunes from your mobile device to a player connected to the dial-shaped Beep unit. That doesn’t have to be a new piece of technology either. Beep can be connected to any speaker with a 3.5mm or optical input, which obviously beings into play the kind of radio cassette players you can see above.

But it gets better. You can have multiple players (if you have additional Beep devices), which you can set up and control via your smartphone. With the addition of Spotify to the service now (if you have a paid subscription to it), that means you can stream lots of music from music systems presumed obsolete.

Want one? That’s the problem. The Beep is so popular that pre-orders have all been snapped up. You can order one now, but you will have to wait until February to get one. They retail for $99 and shipping is worldwide.
