Variations on this theme last appeared at the back end of 2017. Fast forward a few months and we now have the 1970s Adidas Bermuda trainers in green leather.

The shoe is the same. Why shouldn’t it be? I know some of the classics get messed about with in various collaborations, but this is still the shoe that first appeared back in the 1970s as part of the Island Series which also included the likes of the Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Samoa, Hawaii and Tahiti. Check our archive for details of all of those.

But it is the Bermuda that has hung around longest in the Adidas range of late, returning several times since the official reissue in various sure and leather finishes.

The latest one is described as green, although it looks more like a turquoise to these eyes. Anyway, this is the colour, whatever you want to call it. The important thing is if you like it and if you, the shoe is available right now.

In terms of the construction, this has a leather upper, dark blue suede detailing (for the stripes and heel) and a gum rubber outsole for comfort and support.

It looks just the thing for summer. If you can see a pair on your feet they are available for £85 in most sizes.
