Flos 265 1970s wall lamp by Paolo Rizzatto

Yes, it does look like a cross between a fishing rod and a golf club, but the Flos 265 wall lamp by Paolo Rizzatto is actually quite a clever bit of period lighting.

It's aim is to focus light around the room from a fixed location – attach to the wall and you can use that long adjustable steel arm to direct light where you need it. Perfect for a quirky office light, a light over a dining table or just something cool in an industrial-like setting.

If you're still confused how it works, check out the image over the page to see it in use. if you like what you see, it sells for £509.
