Last year, House of Fraser acquired the iconic brand Biba and this week it is re-launched online and at selected House of Fraser stores with 10 shops having dedicated Biba Boutique areas.

The collections of clothing, accessories and jewellery take inspiration from some Biba archive designs and fabric prints, but with some updating. As well as fans of the original label, they are aiming for a newer younger audience too, reflected in the choice of Daisy Lowe as the “face of Biba”.

A sneak preview of the collections can be seen on the My Biba website. It includes the Luxe collection inspired by Biba’s art deco logo which translates as lots of glamorous black, gold and leopard print and the Soft Metals collection combines retro style silks with knitwear. Of course, the brand has been revived a couple of times before , but its last incarnation was very much at designer prices. It does look as if the House of Fraser version will bring the clothes back down to more affordable levels.

At the time of writing  some items seem to already be on the House of Fraser website, although 9 September is the official launch date, so more items may be added then.

  1. cant imagine that anyone buying these items at HOF would even know what Biba was?
are they putting out vintage designs or just using the name?
