Bird-oak-whiteFans of the clean lines of Danish design will appreciate the retro style of these Wooden Birds by Architect Made.

Originally designed by Kristian Vedel in 1959, these cute but simple birds became one of the most successful Danish wooden products of the 50s. Handmade by a skilled wood turner, the birds are created from high quality smoked and natural oak with inlaid eyes of walnut.

The birds' heads tilt in multiple directions allowing them a whole range of expressions and their bodies can be inverted to create either male or female birds. Available in three sizes, small, large or tubby, prices vary from £28.95 from £49.50.

The range is available from www.thehomeonline.com – take a closer look here.
