Brick

We featured it last month, with talk of it coming soon. Well, 'soon' has just come round and you can now be the envy of your friends by owning the Retro Brick Bluetooth handset.

Yes, funding is in place and sufficient interest has been shown in the 80s-style handset to get the 'Brick' into production. In fact, you can get your order in from today.

Not just a pretty face, this design from Shisa Labs, a remake of a piece once owned only by the affluent few, pairs easily with iPhones and all Android phones, not to mention any phone packing Bluetooth. Once connected, you can use it out and about without a wire, calls being passed from your modern-day mobile to the Brick.

Calls are in high quality digital audio, a backlit keypad means you can dial out too, while the speakerphone means hands-free too. There's also an 8-character alphanumeric LED display allows for easy menu navigation and an authentic look.

The phone is around 13 inches tall, operates to a 30ft radius and is available in Classic White, Neon Blue, Neon Green, and Hot Pink. All retail for $85.
