While desk lamps are enjoying a current revival on the high street, the colour and shape of this M&S number makes it stand out from the crowd. As well as looking good, the lamp is adjustable at three points, so also ticks the box for the modernist ideal of "pure function."
It's part of their new Autumn Clerkenwell range which is described as "50s inspired country living with an urban edge". While that seems a bit meaningless, the range is full of stylish retro-influenced products – no doubt you'll be seeing a few more things from there on this site.
