You know something? The Pipistrello Lamp was one of the first things we ever wrote about back in 2006. Fast forward seven years and there's a new version of this 1960s classic on the market – the Mini Pipistrello table lamp by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce.
As you might have guessed, this is a smaller version of the iconic 1966 design. You can do the comparison between the two sizes below. It's still a faithful reproduction though (size aside), with the 35cm bat-shaped light featuring a white methacrylate opal shade and a stand of white varnished metal or dark chestnut, not to mention a telescopic stainless steel stem.
You can order one now, priced at £508.30.
