A modern design, but as you might expect from the maker, this Ercol for John Lewis Pinter wide sideboard has more than a subtle nod to the past.
It's a design that takes inspiration from the middle of the 20th century, not least the tapered legs and faceted drawer pulls, but doesn't wallow in it. Because of that, it should work in a period setting or indeed, one with a slight retro influence.
As for the design, it has plenty of drawer and cupboard space and is crafted in solid oak and oak lacquered with a clear matt finish. It sells for £850.
