Nicky James is actually the work of two people - James Tyrrell and Nicky Garretty – also the couple behind the Tyrrell Katz. This range is pitched at a slightly older audience but still makes the most of the duo's love of colour and pattern.
Like Cath Kidston or Betty & Walter, they take a pattern and use it across a range of different bags and purses. Paper Flowers is a particularly retro design, using 50s-style florals and birds outlined in white against blue, but other patterns include everything from bikes to squirrels.
You can buy it on all sorts of different bags, from make-up bags to a crossbody bag, as shown below. Each design uses matt laminated cotton canvas.
