If your living room is in dire need of some 1970s modernism, then you’ll be pleased to see the return of the Lluis Porqueras-designed Funiculi floor lamp.

It dates from 1979, with a design based around ‘absolute simplicity’, doing away with everything superfluous and leaving what’s described as a ‘useful, simple object’. Not too simple though, it still has more than a touch of style, not least when you factor in a splash of colour.

The light is adjustable up and down, courtesy of a pair of clips, the shade itself can be rotated 360 degrees ad the base of the lamp has a covering in rubber for added stability.

If you want one, you can pick up the lamp for £152.
