To be honest, it’s still quite strange seeing so many retro designs on the high street. When we started this blog, it was pretty much impossible to find a retro sofa without going to a niche retailer or buying a design classic. These days, they seem to be everywhere.
Plenty at DFS right now, including this entire range of seating, which includes a sofa, compact sofa, armchair, some left and right-hand loungers and a storage footstool.
The design is consistent throughout, with the buttoned back and seam detailing, curved arms and back plus some wood tapered legs for support. Plenty of colour options too. If you want something that looks like it might from the middle of the 20th century, it is worth a look.
Prices vary according to what you want, but expect to pay around £499 for the large sofa, £469 for a compact sofa and £369 for an armchair.
