When we did our top 10 record storage unit round-up, we somehow missed out on the Midcentury Record Cabinet by Atocha Design.

It is rather special too, especially if you have a hefty amount of vinyl and no urge to show it off 24/7. But note that this is quite an investment.

Part of a premium range of storage and including a number of vinyl options, the Midcentury Record Cabinet is pretty much the top of the range, both in terms of storage and price.

This is a handmade piece of furniture that offers the look of a midcentury classic couple with a serious amount of custom vinyl storage space. Every record is sorted upright and stored in soft-touch gliding drawers, so you can flip through albums quickly and easily whilst being able to look at the cover art as you go.

Each drawer holds around 95 LPs `and if you have other formats to store, the design can also adapt to holding CDs, 7-inch singles or DVDs, as well as your audio components.

Each piece is made to order based on your own requirements and as such, it is a pricey affair. If you want one of these, the design starts at $5,100, with this one nearer the $7.000 mark. For the rest of us, check out those other options on our top 10 rundown or nip down to Ikea for some Kallax shelves.
