They often do interesting designs at the Science Museum and this year is no exception. This Space Shuttle Christmas jumper is now on the shelves.
In fact, one of my most popular Christmas posts of all time is a Christmas jumper from the Science Museum. Back in 2015, they did a Space Invaders jumper and hat, which is still getting plenty of searches even today. Sadly, neither is available right now.
This year’s offering celebrates another icon of days gone by, the Space Shuttle. Yes, it was still flying into the 21st century, but for me (and many others) this is a symbol of its original decade. The 1980s.
Like the Space Invaders sweater, the design is subtle enough to pass as a Christmas jumper whilst still being very much about its prime subject matter.
So yes, the colours are festive, the stars pass for snowflakes and there are some actual snowflakes in there too, as well as Santa himself. But really, this is all about space, with satellites, comets, sputniks planets, astronauts, space dogs and of course, the star of the show, the Space Shuttle itself blasting off into space.
Sizes are small, medium and large, with this particular jumper selling for £30. Not as cheap as some, but very individual.
