It isn’t cheap, but this Volkswagen Camper Van cool box on wheels looks a lot of fun. Especially if you have a love of the full-size vans.
It’s a bit of retro novelty with a purpose. That purpose, as you probably worked out, is to keep your drinks (or anything else you happen to consume outside) cool. You can have it inside too, but this is really designed for those long, hot summer days we all dream about.
It’s an official VW design and a scale replica of the iconic Volkswagen T1 van. Thanks to the retractable handle this is steerable, with rubber wheels for added grip around the garden. Built to last as well with the pressed steel construction and a heavy-duty lid lock.
The mini VW also has a decent capacity, which is listed as 26 litres, with the images showing a reasonable amount of food and drink is able to sit within it with your ice if you need it.
Don’t worry about water building up as a result of that, as it drains easily when you no longer need it. Note that the minivan is also leakproof and insulated too.
In the past, VW designs have been really popular across a range of products, everything from a fridge and a toaster and kettle set through to a home bar. I think this might well catch the eye too.
But as I said, it doesn’t come cheap. One of these will set you back £269.99.
