EMI offers classic LPs as Vinyl Art

Artvinyl
EMI
has done a deal with the Vinyl Art company to provide it with classic albums on vinyl for its Play and Display frames.

Classic is a loose term, there’s a few big-selling modern albums actually rubbing shoulders with albums from the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Pink Floyd – all of which sit in the patented album frames, which have an easy release button to take out the album when you want to play. That;s why it’s a Play and Display frame.

You can check out some of the sleeves on the website, alongside other non-EMI LPs. All of which retail for £39, less if you just want a frame.

Typeseat Poster

Tim_fishlock_500Following on from the Modernist Flashcards featured yesterday, here is another quirky take on the alphabet – the Typeseat Poster.

Set on a black background, each letter is represented by a white chair. The O is Ball Chair, the C is a tilted Egg Chair, others are less obvious to spot and some are turned upside down and twisted around to form their letters.

The poster is a limited edition silkscreen print by Tim Fishlock and can be bought for £35 from TwentyTwentyOne.

Qora_cat
We covered Qora & Shai’s Arabesque print earlier in the week, but didn’t mention the other eye-catching piece of artwork in their new collection – Something For Cat.

This 60s-style artwork has that Shag-style cat again (although the look probably pre-dates him too), along with a smart space age chair, light fitting and some bold colours. In fact, it’s available in two strong colour schemes, both printed onto canvas, then stretched onto a wood frame.

It’s ready for hanging and treated to protect from the sunlight. A 32 x 32 inch print retails for 140 Euros and a 40 x 40 inch sells for 180 Euros.
