Vintage Camera Drawings Tote and Cushions

Vintage-camera-drawings-4

Christine Berrie is a freelance illustrator based in Glasgow whose work has appeared in various publications. Now some of her designs, including the Vintage Camera Drawings, have been recreated on tote bags and cushions.

The design features a selection of her vintage camera drawings, taken from her piece 28 Camera Drawings, which was selected for inclusion in the very first Creative Review Illustration Annual. For vintage camera enthusiasts, you can spend some time naming the cameras and wondering jealously if the artist actually owns all of these herself.

The tote bag costs just over 19 Euros, whilst square cushion covers are available in three sizes (40cm, 50cm or 60cm) priced between 20 and 25 Euros.  The Vintage Camera products are available to buy from Envelop.

Housesideboard_m

The Heal’s House range includes this Sideboard designed exclusively for the store by Leonhard Pfeifer.

It has been designed to work well in smaller rooms, measuring 113cm wide x by 45cm deep. Heal’s describe it as being perfect for modern living, but being a walnut sideboard, it inevitably has a certain mid-century look to it.

The sideboard costs £495 from Heal’s.

Welsh Keep Calm and Carry On Print

Welshkeepcalm

Having previously admitted to a definite fatigue with the Keep Calm and Carry On products, I am still charmed by this Welsh Keep Calm and Carry On Print.

Created by South Wales-based designer Ashleigh Stevens, it has been printed in Wales too. With the dominance of Union Jack or London related products, it is good to find something that reminds us that there is more to the UK than England.

The print measures 54cm x 74cm and is sold in a black frame. It costs £110 from Pedlars.

Tempaper Temporary Wallpaper

5536466840021_Coco_m3

New in at the Urban Outfitters website is a range of Temporary Wallpaper, designed by New York set designers under the name of Tempaper.

I’ll admit to being sceptical about the concept of temporary wallpaper, but apparently this is so easy to hang and remove, that you can move it according to your every whim. The collection also comprises some great retro designs. Pictured here is Bela in Coco, which is also available in a plum with blue pattern. Other designs include; Skotti, a houndstooth pattern in pink or lavender; Damsel, a damask design in pink, black or metallic and two art deco designs, Alto in black/white or blue/red and Gio in silver.

The wallpaper costs £78 per roll and is available from the Urban Outfitters website (not in store).
