Flos Gatto table lamp

Flosgatto
Does the Flos Gatto table lamp remind you of something? Maybe a hot air balloon? Well, that’s exactly what it is supposed to look like.

The Gatto was designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1960 with the shape of a hot air balloon firmly in the mind of the design team, that shape diffusing the light for maximum impact.

The new version was introduced in 2005 by Flos, completely faithful to the original – and it retails from £171.

Pluto Sunburst clock

Siunburst_clock
Pluto
has something unique with the design of its Sunburst clock – it has left it exactly the same as it was.

Yes, there’s not a modern update in site – it’s exactly like the one you might remember from an aunt’s house in the 1970s. Which means a choice of dark or light wood ‘rays’, brass-effect dial and period digits.

All powered by an AA battery, you can pick one up for £55.

Graham & Brown 70s-style Wood Effect wallpaper

Woodeffect
If you thought that wood effect was left behind in the 1970s, think again – Graham & Brown has brought it back as Wood Effect wallpaper.

It’s part of the company’s designer range – and the designer in question is Wayne Hemingway, a man who has made no secret of his love for all things 70s. It’s actually quite eye-catching, probably well suited to a feature wall rather than a full room.

Each roll is 52cm wide and 10m long, selling for £25.
