JC de Castelbajac v Fermob mod-styled target bistro table

Target_bistro

Scream your mod credentials when you're outdoors with the JC de Castelbajac v Fermob target bistro table.

This is an updated version of a design that's been around (and outside French cafes) since the 19th century, JC de Castelbajac adding his own twist in his Cocard Collection with that target design (which is actually based on the French flag in this instance).

In terms of structure, the table is made of painted steel that's been treated to stop corrosion, with a silkscreen shelf steel top, UV resistance and protective caps on the feet. Choose from three colour variations (see another over the page), all selling for $139 Euros online.

Charles and Ray Eames CTM coffee table for Vitra

Ctm

It's been around for over 60 years, so it's safe to assume that the Charles and Ray Eames CTM coffee table for Vitra is a timeless classic.

Yes, this dates back to 1946 and at the time, this 'round coffee table with metal legs' was quite revolutionary. Fast forward to 2009 and you probably think it quite average – which is a good indicator of just how influential it's been over the years.

The top is made of moulded ash plywood (with slightly raised edges), while the legs are slim chromed tubular steel. And if you want one in your living room of kitchen, it will cost you just under £750. Of course, that doesn't include the chairs.
