Geneva Lab Model L retro-styled audio system

Geneva

The old meets the new with this incredibly cool Geneva Lab Model L retro-styled audio system.

At first glance, you might think this is all about the looks – and there's no denying that the vintage-style walnut veneer cabinet and chrome-plated floor stand are certainly eye-catching. But it's also a high-end piece of audio, with a mix of deep bass and crystal clear highs, along with a universal iPod dock, slot loading cd and FM radio with digital tuner, not to mention a remote to keep up with it all.

Obviously it doesn't come cheap, with prices starting at £849.

Russel Wright American Modern Pitcher

Russel Wright pitcher

Russel Wright's simple and colourful American Modern ceramic range has the honour of being the most widely sold American ceramic dinnerware in history when it was originally manufactured between 1939 and 1959.

It's now in production again with the Bauer Pottery company of Los Angeles under licence with the Russel Wright studios. The initial range includes 14 of the most popular pieces, including the pitcher pictured. The pure lines of the piece and its warm colour mean it remains an attractive addition to the table. This pitcher costs $75 and comes in a range of five colours, matched to colours of the originals.

Aimee Wilder Robot wallpaper

Robot wallpaper

We've previously highlighted Aimee Wilder's Analog Nights wallpaper and here she demonstrates her versatility with this robot wallpaper. The paper features a repeating pattern of four robots ranging from the cute to the fearsome and you can select whether you want the pattern in one colour, mixed colours or, perhaps for that true robot vibe, a metallic finish. Once that is decided, you'll just need to work out where to hang it. At $156 it's perhaps too expensive for a kids room.

If you are a fan of this design you'll be interested to hear has also been used by Vans on a variety of their products which you can look at here.

Graham and Green Orient Express Storage Trunk

Orient Express Storage Trunk

One of the advantages of the modern world is it is much quicker to move around. However, with this gain something of the allure of bygone days of travel has been lost. Graham and Green have captured this glamour perfectly with their aptly named Orient Express Storage Trunk.

The four drawers are made from faux leather and it stands at just over 128cm high. To make it the perfect travelling companion there is a mirror set into your lids and casters so it can be wheeled round (even if it's just around your bedroom!). For a complete look, there's a wardrobe in same range available. The trunk costs £855, whilst the wardrobe retails for £995.
