Wooden ZZZZ Letters

Zzzz

Shabby chic wooden lettering is still pretty popular and sets making words like “Love” and “Home” are commonplace, but these are a little more unsual, Wooden Vintage Style ZZZZ Letters.

The letters are wooden, painted white but given a distressed look to make them look vintage, when in fact they are brand new. The set comprises of four Zs and each one has a keyhole nail fixing on the back for easy hanging. It goes without saying that these would be ideal for the bedroom.

Objects of Design is selling the set of ZZZZ Letters for £33. Visit their website to order.

I have no idea how long Paperchase have been selling rugs. It is certainly news to me, but definitely a welcome addition, with this Pop Floral Wood Rug being the most retro of the small collection.

It features brightly coloured flowers on a contrasting dark blue background. No measurements are given but it costs £150 and is made from hand-tufted wool.

Flower Coasters

Michellemasoncoaster

These Flower Coasters look rather like the Mary Quant daisy logo, but were created by contemporary designer Michelle Mason, whose cushions, bags and lampshades we’ve featured in the past.

The coasters are a great way to add a flower power touch to your table without spending a fortune. They cost £14 for a set of four and are made of 100% wool. Like all of her products, they are made in the UK and from naturally sustainable materials so have all the right eco credentials as well as looking good.

The Flower Coasters can be bought online from Hidden Art Shop.

Vintage Tea For Two from Polly & Prince

294

Vintage china that's in good shape is always a treat, especially if you can find the perfect pattern to suit your style. Polly & Prince have taken the need to trawl the carboots and auction houses out of the equation with their Tea For Two vintage sets.

They hand pick a set of two cups and saucers, along with matching cake plates, and throw in a cake recipe for good measure. This great vintage handpicking means that each set they sell is unique and individual, meaning you're buying a personal piece of design that you'll treasure forever.

They're offering this at a fantastic price of just £25 from their online boutique.

Cobra TV Stand

Cobra-tv-big

As flat screen televisions are a relatively recent invention, the Cobra TV Stand obviously isn’t a classic design, but it nonetheless has elements of retro style in its design and is certainly a good deal more attractive than most modern stands.

It has been designed by Mario Bellini for Italian company Horm. It has a curved shaped and is made from multi-ply in a choice of finishes. It is available in whiten beech for that popular space-age look or for a warmer feel in beech with a mocha stain or walnut veneer.

The Cobra TV Stand costs £1480 from Panik Design.

Rear Window rugs

Rear Window rug

In contrast to all the illustrative designs that are so popular at the moment, this rug also has a much more restrained modernist design. It's one in a series of Rear Window rugs which sadly are not a direct reference to Hitchcock instead the lines of the rug resembling slightly opened window blinds.

The rugs are made from New Zealand wool and come in a variety of sizes and shapes, all using a blue and grey colour scheme, which cost from £187.50 up to £497.50.
