Love tattoo cushion

Love_tattoo_cushions

Here's another stylish item to put in the 'retro cushions using the word love' file. It's a surprisingly perennial theme that continues to bear fruit, as in this Love tattoo cushion from Rockett St George. This one looks like a classic tattoo design with its heart, love scrolls and swallow motifs. The vintage feel is enhanced by the embroidered flower and the back which is fastened using ribbon bows.

It's not quite free love however: the cushion is a pretty substantial investment at £64.

Design House Stockholm Bono mugs

Bono1

No, nothing to do with the headline-cashing Irish singer, the Design House Stockholm Bono mugs are an altogether more stylish proposition.

Very much influenced by mid-century Scandinavian design, the Bono mugs come in a set of four (two pictured above, two over the page), all hand-painted, all made of bone china and all certain to impress your guests next time anyone calls round for a drink.

This particular four pack retails for 61 Euros, check out the Bono bowls too for more of the same.

They've used the design across a variety of objects including pot stands, table runners and napkins and also on the storage jar pictured, which costs £19.

If this looks your kettle of fish, you can find out more at the New House Textiles website
