Pintie Milk bottle milk jug by Whosglass

Milk jug
We've featured various ways of re-using old milk bottles in the past, from vases to light shades. These Pintie Milk bottle milk jugs from Whosglass offer a use that's a bit closer to their original function.

These bottles have been hand-manipulated and made into jugs. They retain their original decoration, so feature charming retro advertising like the one for Kellogg's cornflakes shown in the image above. Other bottles for sale feature adverts for Ready Break, as well as various tea and hot chocolate brands.

The jugs cost £19.95.

Hans Bolling Oscar the Dog

Am-oscar-dog-1
We were already aware of Hans Bolling’s wooden ducks, so are delighted to see that his Oscar the Dog had also been reissued as part of the same Architect Made series.

Oscar was designed back in 1953 and whilst he has the same midcentury style as the ducks, he is an all together more sophisticated creature. Oscar can sit, crawl, stand or beg – just like a real dog, except this one has been meticulously crafted from beechwood, maple, wenge and brown leather. He stands at 13cm and costs £75.

Order Oscar online from Panik Design for delivery in May.

New Sir Peter Blake prints launch: Homage to Damien Hirst – Butterfly Man series

Blake1

It still has that distinctive, vintage-esque collage style, but Sir Peter Blake also gives a nod to the contemporary art scene with the launch of his new set of prints, Homage to Damien Hirst – Butterfly Man.

According to the man himself: 'Damien Hirst has used butterflies in a lot in his work, and it was pointed out that 'the butterfly man' owes more than a little to his work, so I was happy to dedicate him in homage to Damien. I am an enormous admirer of Damien’s work.'

Adidas classic three-stripe Trefoil t-shirt

Adidas

I was thinking about t-shirts earlier (due to the warm weather), something timeless and classic – and I ended up with the Adidas three-stripe Trefoil t-shirt.

It really is a timeless piece of clothing, pretty much universally worn in the 1970s and still an understated gem in the modern era. Adidas looks to have five colour options available online right now, including the black and white above, all with the same contrast collar, cuffs, logo and three stripes on the arms, all made of 100 per cent cotton.

All are available directly from the company too, £26 is the asking price.

Be warned, there's some sel-assembly involved, but it is cheap right now. Grab it before 30th April and you can secure the Kensington cabinet for £299.
