Retro ice cream spoons from Baci Milano

Ice cream
Though Summer may still be that little bit too far away, it's never a wrong time to indulge in some ice cream. Fifties-style ice cream accessories are a pretty common sight on the high street, so how about the slightly later looks of these retro ice cream spoons from Baci Milano

Each spoon is topped off with a Pop-style outline of a mouth, presumably open and ready to receive ice cream. The spoons may look as if they are made in plastic but they are in fact made from porcelain, adding a touch of seriousness to what could otherwise be a throwaway item.

Still not too expensive though, as a set of four spoons costs £9.

Narbonne vintage style nesting tables from Artisanti

Nest of tables

Though your school days aren't the most obvious choice for home inspiration, that's exactly what is behind these Narbonne vintage-style nesting tables from Artisanti

The nest contains three tables, all with wood tops and cream-painted tubular legs that evoke a post-war style and create a vintage feel.

It's also the kind of furniture also being explored by Very Good and Proper at the moment. If you can't stretch your budget to afford those but like their looks, I'm pleased to say these are just that little bit cheaper – a set of these tables costs £179.

eBay watch: Nissan Pao retro-styled car

Pao1

Despite talking about it as far back as 2006, we haven't really featured the Nissan Pao much on the site. Until now that is, as one has just come up on eBay.

The Pao is generally referred to as a 'retro wagon', a fairly roomy vehicle that was launched in Japan around the same time as the equally retro Nissan Figaro. However, unlike the Figaro, not many of these have been imported to the UK, so they are far less common.

Sanderson Miro Wallpaper

231185111
If you are beginning to tire of the ubiquity of Sanderson’s Dandelion print on every imaginable product, then perhaps the Sanderson Miro Wallpaper is a good alternative.

Like the Dandelion print, this is another of Sanderson’s designs from the 1950s, originally from a Sanderson cotton. It features a stylised leaf trail, centred vertically on the paper, with the leaves in various complementary colourways, such as red/gold, teal/orange and oyster/chocolate.

The wallpaper costs £32 per roll from John Lewis.
