Floppy Felt Hat

19130857_mThis Floppy Felt Hat is part of the Heidi Klum for Accessorize Collection, but the supermodel is not the first person that this style brings to mind. Rather it reminds of me of stars of the 1970s as it seems like the sort of thing that Diane Keaton circa the Godfather or Anita Pallenberg would wear.

Anyway back to this hat – it is a gorgeous orange colour which is particularly good at this time of year and it is decorated with some brown stones around the brim, which add to its seventies bohemian vibe.

It is priced £25 and is available to buy online from Accessorize now.

Disc Wall Clock – like your bathroom scales

Disc_wallclock
I’m fascinated by this Disc Wall Clock – not least because it looks more like traditional bathroom scales than a working timepiece.

Made of chrome and glass, it’s available in black or white, with both indicating the time through two very ‘matter of fact’ rotating numeric wheels – the kind of thing you might expect to see on a modernist piece of design.

Available online, you can pick one up for £65.

Monsoon Zuria Beaded Cream Dress

15211413_m1While everyone else is dressing for autumn in black, grey and purple, you can stand out from the crowd in the Zuria Beaded Cream Dress from Monsoon’s new Storm Collection.

Its combination of bib front, long-sleeves and mini-length give is a real 1960’s shape and whilst wearing such a light colour in the colder months will feel decadent, it at least has sleeves to provide some warmth.

It is available to buy for £70 from the Monsoon website.

Sex Pistols 30th anniversary vinyl reissues

Pistols_hols
It’s 30 years since the Sex Pistols were scaring vicars and local councillors. And to celebrate that fact, the band are back touring – and there’s a series of limited vinyl reissues available this month.

All four singles from the Never Mind The Bollocks albums are being reissued on 7-inch vinyl, with original artwork and packaging. If you don’t know, those are Anarchy In The Uk, God Save The Queen, Pretty Vacant and Holidays In The Sun. If that’s not enough, the Never Mind The Bollocks album is also reissued on vinyl, again with identical packaging to the original, with the added bonus of a one-sided single of Submission and a full-size poster.

The singles are available now, with the album following on 29th October 2007, retailing around £11.99.
