Plus Minus space age 8-inch LCD TV

Plusminus_2

Thanks to Karen H-K for digging up this Plus Minus space age 8-inch LCD TV – but unfortunately we know little about it.

Well, we know a few things. It only seems to be available in Japan, it has an 8-inch screen, full remote control, plenty of connectivity for your add-ons and DVD player and a choice of colours – white, black and red.

It also seems to have been available in Japan for some time, currently retailing there for the hefty equivalent of £313. Which makes us suspect there’s more to this than being your average portable TV.

Elvis Worktop Saver

ElvisboardThe Elvis estate earns more money each year than most living celebrities can even dream about, and amongst the music, there is quite a lot of Elvis memorabilia, the most of which is frankly awful. However, here is a product that I don’t think is officially endorsed – the Elvis Worktop Saver.

Whilst the face on the board is unmistakably the King, it is made up of an assortment of vegetables which probably nicely avoids infringing on any image rights. A good gift for Presley fans or for anyone who might take a certain pleasure in disrespectfully chopping up their carrots on an image of an icon.

This is Glint are selling the boards for £13.50.

Lomo reproduces 1960s Diana camera

Diana_camera

The Diana is more of a cult item than a 60s classic, but if you like the idea of quirky photos from a vintage camera, you can pick one up thanks to a reissue by Lomo.

The Diana was originally made by the Great Wall Plastic Factory in Hong Kong in the 1960s, famous for producing out-of-focus images that have (unintentionally) become its trademark.

The new version still does that – and on old 120 roll film. In fact, apart from a couple of minor improvements, this is the same as the one you would buy 40+ years ago. Available from October, you can pre-order one now for $50 (around £25).

Jo Colombo Spinny trolley

Spinny

If you can’t fit all your bits and pieces into the classic Boby trolley, you might want to invest in the Jo Colombo Spinny trolley.

It carries the Jo Colombo name, but is actually a modern-day design by the Jo Colombo Studio for B-line, very much in the style of the great man’s 60s plastic classics. The unit itself has 12 drawers, with three different drawer sizes, all made from injection-moulded ABS plastic in a choice of colours and all able to swivel 180 degrees.

And when your drawers are full, they just slot back in and wheel away. Available to order online, the Spinny retails for £525.

William Warren Love & Hate gloves

Lovehate_gloves
The fashion for tattoos of the words ‘love’ and ‘hate’ on your knuckles seems to have long since died off. But you can revive it with these William Warren Love & Hate gloves.

Yes, if you fancy intimidating your fellow dog walkers, slip on a pair of these gloves to add a bit of menace to your hands. Except that wearing a pair of fluffy beige gloves isn’t going to intimidate anyone, no matter what you have written on the knuckles.

Available in size medium only, these retail for £37.
