If you’re short of somewhere to store your red underpants, you probably need a Superman clothes hanger.
It’s the work of Roman Ficek, who is part of the Comunistar group of new Slovakian designers. In fact, it’s such a great-looking piece of design, it’s a shame you’ll have to hide it away in your wardrobe.

Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki has previous designed wallpaper for Habitat bearing a classy swirl print in purple/sivler or black/white, which is still available. Now, she’s added to this partnership with a line of textiles, under the title of Barbara Hulanicki for Habitat.
The rug pictured here costs £395 and whist its pedigree and pattern are rooted in the past, its design in subtle enough to work with many décor styles. There are also cushions available with the same pattern, in assorted colours priced £30.
Unfortunately Habitat’s UK website does not offer online shopping, but you can find your nearest store there.

Ever wondered what the ‘girl with kaleidoscope eyes’ really looked like? Well, according to Waterloo, she looked like the one featured in its Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds t-shirt.
Which means she looked like some strange 60s cartoon character with yellow hair and goggle-shaped glasses. And if anyone is in any doubt, the design is finished off with a retro-styled description on the front, as well as ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ on the back.
It’s a women’s t-shirt, available in yellow or white in a range of sizes, all priced at $24.95 (around £13).
You might have some pop art hanging on your living room wall, but I’m guessing you don’t have any hanging from the ceiling. That could change if you pick up the Canned Light by Ingo Maurer.
Using that iconic soup image, Christoph Matthias and Hagen Sczech have created a light from tin, aluminium and stainless steel, able to hold a 60w bulb and with enough cord to hang from the highest ceiling. It also comes in a rather cool Campbells-themed box.

Another example of good design being timeless – the Angelo Mangiarotti Maritime Secticon watch.
Made in Switzerland by Pierre Junod and authorised by Angelo Mangiarotti, the watch was first introduced in 1956, with the simple design now augmented by scratchproof sapphire crystal, a stainless steel case and back and a leather strap with the Pierre Junod name embedded on the back.
Available in black or white, the watch retails online for $450, which is around £225.
