Adidas Originals Beckenbauer Track Top

Beckenbauer
Gone are the days of hunting round vintage stores for period sportswear – the manufacturers are making so much of it, you can walk down any high street and pick up a period piece easily.

Typical is this Adidas Originals Beckenbauer Track Top. Not just vintage-inspired, this is an exact copy of the training top worn by The Kaiser at the end of his career, when he was plying his trade with the New York Cosmos.

Zip front, three stripes down the shoulders and sleeves, ribbed cuffs, Adidas logo and made from a cotton/polyester mix. You can pick one up for around £55 (or cheaper in the US, as is often the case).

These lightweight padded bags, made from polyester and PVC, should fit a laptop up to 14.1 inches. Double-sided Audrey Hepburn screen

Hepburn_screen
Screens can be useful items, either to hide behind or to hide that messy corner of a room. They’re also very useful decorative items – especially if you have one like this double-sided Audrey Hepburn screen.

Double-sided means you get two classic Audrey images front and back – and they’re big images, taking up the while of the 180cm x 120cm screen (that’s around 6ft x 4ft).

You can pick one up online, priced at £150.

Feltris Blocks – Tetris-style cushions

Feltris
Retro gaming once more provides the inspiration for interior design – this time with the Feltris Blocks.

As the name and indeed the picture suggests, they’re inspired by Tetris and made from felt, with polyester wadding. The 4-inch x 6-inch squares combine into a variety of Tetris shapes and indeed into bigger shapes if you fit them together. In fact, buy a pile of them and you can have your own life-size game. And when you’re exhausted after that, kick back and lounge around on them.

They’re available in limited numbers, priced at £19.99 for each block.

Barcelona Cushion Clock

Barcelona_clock
Mies van Der Rohe’s Barcelona Chair is unlikely inspiration for a clock – but that’s just what has inspired this Barcelona Cushion Clock.

It’s pretty obvious where the inspiration has been used, with the 10-inch leather look base a dead ringer for the chair’s cushioned seating. Apart from that, this is a pretty standard clock with hour/minute hands and a sweeping hand for seconds.

Battery operated, you can pick one up for £13.95.

Envirosax – reusable retro bags

Envirosax

In terms of the environment, using masses of plastic bags from the supermarket isn’t a particularly good thing to do. Far better to use something reusable. And if that’s stylish too, all the better. Enter Envirosax.

Envirosax are eco-friendly reusable shopping bags. Each one rolls up to become a lightweight and portable 40g package – small enough to sit in the glove compartment of the car. Even better, they’re both waterproof and durable and come in some smart retro designs, including the Flora Butterflies and Monochromatic Vintage pictured above.

Available online, you can pick one up for £4.95.
