The world of vintage cycling seems to be a rapidly growing one right now, with Cambridge-based Beg Bicycles being the latest to enter the fray.
The company claims to mix retro charm with the latest modern components – chrome handlebars, a posture-perfect steel frame, classic Brooks leather saddle, leather handle grips and a retro colour palette (Persephone Pink, Toad Grey and Flirty 30s Green) mix it with high quality bicycle components for the integrated hub gears and roller brakes, with a built-in hub-powered dynamo light system topping things off.
Established in 1866, Brooks have plenty of experience of putting bums on seats, or more precisely, bums on saddles.
The Colt is a more recent edition to the Brooks range, dating back to 1979 and coming in a range of stunnning colours. It's crafted from leather and finished with fabulous retro detailing including copper rivets hand hammered by skilled craftsmen – the perfect accessory for your old school bicycle.
Choose from pink, violet, turquoise, mustard or black leather.
The saddles cost £117.84 and are available here.
If you're after a bicycle with a retro twist, the Pelago Bristol vintage-style city bike is certainly worth a look.
