Inspired by school desks from the 1950s and 1960s, the design has been updated by using a sleek white finish. The tilt and height of the desk can be adjusted, so your kids won’t outgrow it too quickly. It is currently on sale with the price reduced from£322 to £229.98.

Up for auction: Melville Aubin-designed Sunpark 1930s art deco house in Brixham, Devon

Sun1

Regular readers will remember we featured this house around 18 months back, when it first went up for sale. Well, for any number of reasons, this stunning Melville Aubin-designed Sunpark 1930s art deco house in Brixham, Devon didn't sell – and is now heading to auction at a much-reduced guide price.

Sunpark is an incredibly distinctive, grade II-listed property, which dates back to 1935 and comes with plenty of features dating back to that original era too – always important when it comes to art deco homes. That includes the white asymmetric exterior, the distinctive radius bay windows, a stair case with polished Chrome handrail, parquet flooring throughout, original fireplaces and what every art deco home needed, a solarium.

Delia Derbyshire poster by Piper Gates Design

Delia

From the people who gave us the likes of the Joy Division and Syd Barrett colouring books, not to mention the Prisoner and Bedazzled posters comes the Delia Derbyshire poster by Piper Gates Design.

Who is Delia Derbyshire you ask? Well, you're unlikely to know unless you are a Doctor Who or vintage electronica fan. She was a pioneer of the latter and best-known for her work as part of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, where she produced the famous Doctor Who theme, amongst other things.

This suitably '60s poster is limited to 45 copies, sized at 500mm x 700mm and printed on very high quality 194 gram paper, each one signed by the artist. £22.99 gets you one. See a shot of the poster on a wall over the page.

Hastoe Windsor Chair

L_UT60330
Like the Hepburn Bed that we featured not too long ago, the Hastoe Windsor Chair is a design by Matthew Hilton for De La Espada.

Here he has taken the traditional Windsor Chair and updated it slightly, although it still maintains a midcentury feel to it. The chair is named after the village new High Wycombe where it is produced. It is available in a choice of ash or American black walnut. Not cheap by any standards at £654, you can console yourself with the fact that it is timeless design that won’t fall out of fashion.
