Adidas Samba World Cup Edition gets England, Brazil, France and Italy

We mentioned the Germany version the other day, but now the Adidas Samba England edition trainers are available to buy, as are other qualifying nations.

The England is above, a limited edition in premium leather, along with a red, white and blue colourway, gold Samba detailing and the England pin badge. They sell for £55 online.

The Brazil is pictured over the page, also limited, it has yellow and green detailing, plus a Brazil national pin badge. They also sell for £55. Check out the Adidas site for a France and Italy versions too – the Italy in a very tasty blue.

The classic knitted tie is making a comeback, offering up a preppy look for the modern era. You can buy cheap polyester or wool ones here and there, but for something with more class, check out these Boden silk knitted ties look pretty tasty.

Choose from contrast stripes or the spotted ones pictured above, all 100 per cent silk, with a silk backing for reinforcement. Widths aren't offered, but the shot of someone wearing one shows a pretty slim profile, reminiscent of the early 1960s.

CB2 Pop Art-style Grrrl Rug

More Pop Art style with this Grrrl Rug, from CB2, the American company who also brought you the vintage style tattoo rug we featured earlier in the year. 

This rug pure 60s style and is designed by artist Matthew Lew. It features a Roy Lichtenstein-type black and white pixelated grid onto which is imposed a glamorous looking eye and pair of lips. Lew's name appears in the corner of the design enhancing the artistry of the piece. 

It's made from 100% wool so should feel good, as well as looking good, underfoot too. 

A striking piece for any room, the rug costs $349.

Dreaming of some foreign travel to escape the winter blues? Well, in addition to the Agent Provocateur luggage highlighted earlier in the week, here's another retro travel accessory (though inspired by a different era) comes with this Tepper Jackson 60s-style passport holder. 

Like the Tepper Jackson flight bag featured a good while ago, it's got a bright Pop design. The black and white pattern, combined with the motif of the flower, looks like it could have come straight out of the Mary Quant boutique. It's practical too, with two side pockets and five card slots to hold any and all of your travel documents.
