eBay watch: 1960s Grillo telephone by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper

Phone

Interesting design, although if you opt to bid for this 1960s Grillo telephone by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper, you'll need to be in the right country to use it or get someone to adapt it for you.

Might be worth doing though, as this is a really stylish item. Designed by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper back in 1966, it's incredibly reminiscent of the era, especially in that orange colour. Clamshell design, dial inside – it's going to make your calls, but it's not going to get you through call centre menus.

It's working and described as being in 'excellent condition' with 'no cracks, no chips, no stains or discolouration' and currently at a price of £30.98.

Paul Smith cassette-style case for iPhone 4

Paul smith case

We've featured many products inspired by the humble tape in the past but this cassette-style case for the iPhone 4 has got to be the classiest yet – mainly because its got Paul Smith's name on the label.

Produced in collaboration with Apple, it uses a simple design of a cassette printed onto a leather case. Take a look at the label scribbled with 'Side A' and you'll see the Paul Smith name there, written out in simple type.

As you might expect the use of the designer name adds to the price tag too: this case costs £89.95.

Rotary phone desk clock by Vyconic

Phone

Remember the Vyconic turntable clocks we featured at the end of last year? Well, if you don't, check them out, as they look absolutely stunning. I suspect sales have gone well too, as the company is now recycling other items, producing designs like this Vyconic rotary phone desk clock.

Yes, this did indeed start off life as a humble dial phone, but has since been given a makeover and some clock hands, although the numbers obviously don't match the time.

It's also a one-off right now, so something unique as well as quirky. £55.31 secures it and while you're there, check out those record player clocks too!

Red Phonebox lantern at Urban Outfitters

Phone_lantern

You don't see many red phoneboxes around these days, but you can pick one up for your home – specifically with the Red Phonebox lantern, which is new to Urban Outfitters.

The retailer doesn't have a lot to say about it on its site. Indeed, it has no words at all, but with the aid of a few pictures, we get the idea that you open the door, drop in a candle, then hang it or stand it where you like and watch the light shine out. Of course, it's a nice novelty thing to have on your sideboard even when you're out of candles.

Price? That'll be £22.
