With the heatwave, British seaside resorts have been getting a bit more attention than they sometimes do. They are also celebrated in the wonderful British seaside cushions by Home Slice.
Each of the cushions celebrates a different resort. There's a design dedicated to Whitby, one to Blackpool and, finally, one in honour of Margate, as pictured.
The cushions are very much in the spirit of Home Slice's other products – British-focused, and intended to evoke nostalgia and optimism. The work of illustrator Steph Parr and product designer Eleanor, these cushions are decorated with the best seaside traditions of donkeys, deckchairs, seagulls and – of course – ice creams.
