The star shaped lights from Dwell offers some Space Age styling on a high street budget.
For a statement piece for a room, it's hard to beat the star shaped pendant light shown above: with its twelve arms radiating out from the centre, it's reminscent of the sputnik-style light of the late sixties.
An alternative way to get the look, however, is the star-shaped table lamp shown below. Like the pendant, it's made from black metal and requires twelve light bulbs for full effect. It's also quite a dramatic piece, standing at 60cm high.
With both currently available at reduced prices, perhaps there's no need to choose between them: the pendant light is priced at £69, while it's £99 for the table lamp.
