Yes, you read that right. You can now used the Star Trek: Original Series Bluetooth Communicator to make and receive mobile phone calls. How? Read on.

First off, you’ll need to order one of these devices, based on the original Stair Trek Communicator from the 1960s sci-fi series and about as good a replica as you are likely to find.

Once you’ve got one, flick up the grille, you can access the MEMS Microphone for crystal-clear phone calls and when power is low, hook it up to the wireless charging stand that keeps the device in place with a magnetic latch and offers a high-quality speaker to play your tunes.

If that’s not enough, there are authentic Star Trek sounds and conversation fragments when you use it. Marvellous.

The Communicator is sold in a ‘high quality’ light foam lined hard transit case and is officially licensed from CBS. If you want one, £119.95 is the price.
