There are plenty of options out there, but the midcentury modern vinyl consoles by Vybe Furniture are attractive pieces.
They don’t all come in as cheap as the much-loved Ronda vinyl cabinet (which is pretty much the market leader whenever it is in stock at La Redoute), but they are more individual pieces, with each one handmade to order.
Unashamedly midcentury modern with those tapered legs (with hairpin also available on some designs), the units are simple designs and all the better for it. This about storage for your records and a space for your record player. Nothing else.
Those straightforward designs have a lot of appeal, as does the walnut finish (you can also opt for chestnut and dark walnut) as well as the handcrafted curved edges, solid oak legs and the lovely grain of the wood used.
A unit might not store all of your record collection, but the standard unit holds about 150 LP records, with others storing more or less depending on your choice of design.
When I said they don’t come in as cheap as La Redoute, that’s not to say these are pricey items. Compared to other handmade designs on Etsy, the pieces by Vybe Furniture are on the affordable side.
The console at the top of the page sells for £189.57, the upgraded version below sells for £233.53 and working down the page, the smaller unit is £131.88, the console with hairpin legs is £197.81 and below that the wooden unit is £153.86.
