This is a 'coming soon' I'm afraid, but fans of space age design will certainly want to check out Interiors '70: The Photography of Carla De Benedetti by Giovanni Odoni, which is republished in December by Verba Volant.

This is the 1960s and 1970s, seen through interior design magazines of the time. Specifically, images taken by Carla De Benedetti between 1965 and 1975. From that, you can assume we're talking design excess and space age marvels, with designers such as Franco Albini, Gae Aulenti, Cini Boeri, Joe Colombo, Italo Lupi, Carla Venosta, and Nanda Vigo particularly prominent amongst its pages.

All the photos are lifestyle shots, so think your current favourite interiors magazines transported back 40 years (and to Italy), with selling a lifestyle just as important as the designs on show. In addition, there's an introduction by veteran design journalist Giovanni Odoni that sheds light on this important phase of Carla De Benedetti’s career and on this 'undervalued period' (their words) in the history of interior design.
